Springy Lips

Bright and cheerful colors are meant to be Springy and Summery. So does your beautiful lips !

That being said, I’d like to share my favorite collection with y’all. To be honest, this post can be categorized under drugstore products I’d say. 

Here’s a few things I want to mention about my lips before I go straight to the color swatches and reviews. Mine are really dry and wrinkly so whenever I choose the lip products, I tend to buy the ones rich in moisture unless it’s a holy grail product that everyone raves about.

As you can see in the photo of my color swatches, the very first one (left->right) is from the Body Shop, three of them are from Rimmel London and another one from NYX brand. I’ve also put the color codes under each of them so that you won’t get confused. Oh and as usual, I've taken the photo in natural light to get the correct color and resolution.

The Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain

01 Rose Pink

I’ll start my review with this dual-purpose product from the Body Shop. You can see its bright red color through its transparent plastic tube but if you actually apply it, you’ll see the instant transformation of pretty rosy pink shade as in gel-type consistency. The stain really is long-lasting on your lips but it really dries out mine at the end of the day. So I can’t help but apply a bit of my lip balm before I use this one.

Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer

101 Celestial

This would be the star of my collection, not only for Spring but for all season in a row! The most amazing fact about this lipstick is the applicator. It has a little well inside that collects the product so I can easily apply it with only one dip…..ONE DIP! Can’t stop saying how much I love it but move on to the consistency, it’s creamy and opaque but after a few hours, it dries matte but doesn’t really damage my lips at all.

500 Luna

The bright and intense coral and orangey shade of this product is definitely a must have for Spring & Summer. It even stays longer than the previous pinky shade 101 Celestial, even after I had eaten a meal.

NYX Cosmetics Xtreme Lip Cream

XLC01 Dolly Girl

Looking for a high coverage liquid lipstick? Here it is..a liquid lipstick that combines the brilliant shine and intense color that is formulated to last. As you can see in my color swatches, it shows the hot pink color with extreme pigmentation leaning towards the neon side. But it leaves a very very stubborn stain on my lips so sometimes it’s a bit hard to clean it off. The color is normally too bold for my taste but it really suits the current seasonal makeup looks.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte

16 Spring

Rimmel has been going matte with their line of Kate Moss Lasting Finish in a range of pink, red even nude tones. The speciality about this one is the packaging with a Kate’s signature on it. The product really glides on the lips and feel weightless but as I mentioned earlier if I didn’t take good care of my dry lips, this product makes it look even more flaky. But the color looks really chic and girly in my opinion. Sometimes, I mix it with a coral color to bring up a gradient look.

GALAXY CHIC ✡ Baked Eye Shadow Palette ✡

Inspired by the planets and moons of our universe, BH Cosmetics Brand has launched a fantastic baked eyeshadow palette. The name itself says “Galaxy Chic”.  How cool is that, !!?

The package seems to be made in some kind of cardboard and it also has a perfect sized mirror inside. So basically, it’s super light weighted and contains 18 baked eyeshadows. It retails for $22.95 but in my home country, I purchased this for a reasonable price of 25,000ks from BH Cosmetics Myanmar.

Most important of all, I have taken these photos in natural lighting to get the exact definition and resolution we can see in person. All the eyeshadows swatches were done on the bare skin using my fingers. In order to get the fuller effects of the colors, I do recommend to apply eyeshadow base or primer on your eyelids.

PROS

Egg Snowman ♥ DIY Xmas

 ♫ Do you want to build a snowman....Come on, let's go and play.... ♫

Sounds familiar? Christmas is drawing closer and I was really passionate about working on DIY X'mas projects this holiday season. So, I will start my very first food art with these little egg snowmen as the appetizer.This DIY is very easy & simple.All you need is the following.

INGREDIENTS: 

☑ A carrot
☑ Parsley
☑ Peppercorns
☑ BBQ stick
☑ Uncooked Pasta
☑ 6 hard-boiled eggs

HOW TO:

After all the eggs are boiled, you need to put them in the cold water for a few minutes. This helps to peel the shell off way much faster and easier. When it's ready, start peeling off the egg shell and follow the next step with peeling the carrot. Then you can start slicing the carrot ends but be careful not to cut them too thin. You also need to cut the bottom and top of the hard-boiled eggs to make them standing.

Use a BBQ stick to make a hole through these two eggs and stick with the pasta attach them together. Use the same method to your two slices of carrots, make a hole again and put them to the egg on top through that pasta. Do not forget to cut off the extra pasta sticking out of your carrot hat ;)

Now we have come to the most fun part of this DIY ! Time to create the eyes...nose & buttons for your snowman. Once again with the use of your BBQ stick, make small holes in the right place where you need them to be. You'll also need a small piece of carrot for its nose. Place the peppercorns in the eyes area and buttons for its body. T A D A !

Finally you can stick a parsley sprig on both side of your snowman to bring him up to life...

He looks so sad and lonely =(

Skincare Secrets with Ice

We are always finding ways to make our skin, appearing soft and lustrous. Giving it a healthy glow, we fight to gain the best results with natural remedies, sometimes by using various skincare products. Trust me. Ice cubes will make your dreams come true !

One of the simplest ways is to rub your facial skin with ice cubes regularly. Your blood circulation will improve which can also help in getting rid of the wrinkles. I personally can say these DIYs are super cool as all they did was minimizing my ugly pores, tighten my skin and give me the instant fresh look.

Here I reveal the secrets to freeze in the beauties of every women and every one of us...

Reduce Puffy eyes
I remember putting a spoon into my freezer and used to get rid of my puffy eyes. Same with these ice cubes too. All you need to do is dip your cotton pad (I preferred rounded ones) in a bowl of ice cubes. Compressing the cold on your eyes will reduce puffiness and get a new fresh look.

Brighten the dark circles
Our lifestyles have changed into today's advancing environment. Browsing on the internet & watching your favorite TV shows might be replacing the hours of your beauty sleep. In my makeup routine, the only objective of using a concealer is to hide those hateful dark circles. Since I'm sharing tricks with ice, I'd say the quickest is to wrap ice cube in wash cloth and use it under your eyes. There is even more of an effective way to brighten those serious dark circles i.e. to brew strong green tea and freeze them in your ice tray. Again, wrap it and use it under your eyes area. 100 % satisfaction guaranteed ;)

Fight Acne
Every night before going into bed, gently massage with a soft cloth wrapped with ice cubes to use it over the acne. This will help to reduce the redness, inflammation and lessen the size of your acne.

Prime before makeup
Don't like to put another layer of makeup base or primer under your foundation? Rub your face with the ice cubes before wearing makeup. It will give you flawless and long lasting makeup for a day!

Fruit cubes healthy glow
Choose your favorite fruit juices and freeze them into your ice tray. If you are ready for the easy-peasy skincare routine then start scrubbing your fruit cubes over the skin to get the firmness and healthy glow look.

Aloe Rescue
Eek! Exposing your skin to sunlight everyday is one of the dangerous causes that we need to be aware of. The sun has been the most cruel enemy to my blemishes as well as to my sensitive skin condition. Just applying aloe gel can instantly reduce the redness and pain. But the effective trick is to pour the aloe vera gel into your ice cube tray and freeze. Make them ready to give the instant relief whenever you have suffered from the sting of sunburn.

5 Beauty Tricks with Cotton Swabs

Seeking an inexpensive beauty tool for any situation ? 

Here are five Beauty Tricks that we could do with the cotton swabs. Once again, they are super cheap and more than light-weighted enough to bring along with you.

1) Shape the perfect brows

This is the best all-time favorite trick for my daily beauty routine. If you are just using the brow pencil, use this tool to gently blend in the brows for more natural look. On the other hand, you can take a matte brow shadow matching with your brows color and apply them using the cotton swab. Overdrawn? These babies are here to help !

2)  Eye-makeup corrector
I can never get the perfect shape I always wanted for my eyeliners. Always messed up ! "Too thick. Uneven wings. Redraw. Just make it shadowy." - souns familiar? Just wet a cotton swab lightly and slowly twist the swab edge over your the area you want to reshape or the part you want to erase.

3) Blending makeup brush

Some of us do bother to carry around the makeup brushes and tools to include in your kit. Especially if you are on-the-run, you can simply blend with these cotton swabs to get rid of any harsh eyeliner edges. We can easily create a smokey eyes look to make your day !

4) Nail Polishing Essentials

After we have done coloring and designing the nail arts, the final stage is to remove all the accidental spots and polish on the skin. We don't want to mess with the newly gorgeous paints do we? The cotton swab tip can be of a huge help to remove just the polish on your skin.

5) Bacteria-free zone

There are some lip products come with a pot which I always find it difficult to apply. I have some friends who have sensitive skin,surprisingly on their lips area. Therefore, they have taught me another trick to apply using the q-tip to avoid spreading your gems or bacteria into the product.


The cotton swabs can be grouped together with your basic tools that can fit to various ways of uses. Sometimes,I cannot just figured out how much weight of my daily belongs can put up to my purse or a makeup bag.

CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Among us, this incredibly popular lotion is called “Skin moisture Drink”.

If you are one of the Clinique fans, you will definitely familiar with the 3 steps total skincare routine from this brand. Whisper: Please try not to count me in though! But it is one of my main objectives to share my product reviews with you all whether it is a “thumbs up” or a “No” for skincare.

Okie Dokie…let’s start by identifying based on this product NAME (O_o'') Dramatically different moisturizing gel? Wasn’t dramatically different for my combination skin type in the least yet they still advice their formula as the essential step in their routine. It’s true that there are millions of women raving about this skin care, rating 4.5 out of 5. And I do have to admit that my first impression for this skin care was 4.8 out of 5 to be exact but the good impression runs away after 4 hours since I had applied it on my face.

People like it because of its light weighted and silky texture that they can feel immediately on the skin. I can definitely agree as this gel definitely doesn’t include any oil or heavy thickening agents. Another good thing about this moisturizer is the fragrance-free!

 How does it feel?

I have been using this moisturizer for almost three months now; it doesn’t do any bad thing to my skin but also hasn't impressively improved either.

I will not recommend for people with dry skin to use this moisturizer as it might makes the skin still feeling dry and there could be a need to reapply after a few hours. In fact, it isn’t intensely moisturizing for even some of my dry areas on facial skin. Previously I was using ultra repair cream from F.A.B (First Aid Beauty) for my sensitive skin, but almost all of the SEPHORA stores in SG were out of stock for repurchase. So I had to try a new daily moisturizer so I decided to buy this on top of all. Since I still haven’t finish up with the first ever bottle of this CLINIQUE GEL so second purchase will still under consideration as it doesn’t irritate the skin although the price is a little bit expensive. 

Duh, it’s a high-end brand   (◕‿-｡)  !

I hope I have covered enough facts based on my experience on this moisturizer and of course I’ll definitely do another review for the one I’ve mentioned, “F.A.B ultra repair cream”.
